Project Description Summary (attach detailed description and rationale as necessary)
Project involves the upgrade of an existing Substation Building. The primary purpose of the project is to facilitate the upgrade of
the incoming 12KV to 600V transformation infrastructure and provide sufficient space for future Motor Control Centers required
for the material handling upgrades scheduled for the facility including an overall capacity upgrade to 6MVA. As the building is
an existing 1926 structure with a 1965 structure built above the work will involve seismic, fire protection and building envelope
upgrades to achieve equivalency to applicable codes to facilitate the project. The project will also involve the replacement of
the existing 12KV feeder from roadside to the Substation and consolidation to a single point of service pole top switch at
roadside. This feeder will be installed above ground along the west face of Pacific 2.
