IMPORTANT NOTICE - how you can have the full course on 15 day free approval.
If you wish to pay by Direct Debit we will not present the instruction for payment until 21 days after your course has been sent to you. To qualify
for this valuable concession you must complete the Direct Debit form section below when you send in your enrolment form. You will then have
the full course on approval without having paid a penny. After 21 days (ie 15 days inspection plus allowance for postage time) we will assume
that you are completely satisfied with it and your enrolment becomes firm. We will then instruct our bank to collect payment. This all means
greater convenience and more credit time for you – as you can see we try to help in the small ways as well as the big ones – and it demonstrates
the confidence we have in the course itself. Therefore we strongly recommend that you pay your fees by Direct Debit. Should you decide to send
your fees by any other way, you still have the 15 day inspection period.

For the fees quoted overleaf The Writers Bureau will supply the full course and all the services described in the prospectus.
You agree to pay your instalments promptly each month to Manchester as they fall due irrespective of the speed at which you study.
If you fail to pay an instalment within one calendar month of the due date then the full outstanding balance becomes due
immediately. If you fail to settle this outstanding balance within a further calendar month then you automatically forfeit all rights
under the Guarantee below unless an extended payment period has been agreed between us prior to the default. Therefore if there
is any danger of instalment payments being delayed please write to us. The Writers Bureau will treat all deserving cases as
sympathetically as possible. Payment of instalments by Direct Debit or credit card will eliminate any possibility of penalties under
this clause. This clause does not apply to students who pay their fees in full on enrolment.
This agreement lasts for four years. If you wish to extend your studies beyond four years, an extra charge will be made for
administration and the supply of revised course material.
The course materials become your property on receipt by you, subject to full payment of your fees.
The Writers Bureau reserves the right to refuse to accept any applications for enrolment. We also reserve the right to discontinue
tuition for any student who (in our opinion) does not have sufficient aptitude to complete the course. In such cases all fees paid will
be refunded on return of the course materials.
You agree to follow your Tutor’s advice; to study the course conscientiously in order to give it a fair chance to help you; to take all
reasonable steps to have your writing published and to keep us informed of the results of all submissions you make during and up
to the end of the course, including all fees received. It is a requirement of the guarantee below that you comply as fully as possible
with this clause.
We will award you a Certificate of Competence as soon as you have earned your tuition fees from writing which you have sold. The
award of a Certificate of Competence confirms that The Writers Bureau is no longer liable for any refund of tuition fees under part
(a) of the Guarantee below.
YOUR TRIPLE GUARANTEE
(a)
If you have not sold writing to the value of your course fees by the time you have completed the last course assignment, we
will refund the whole of your course fees on receipt of a written request, provided such request is received at our Manchester
office within six months of the completion of the last assignment. At the same time you must provide us with a selection of
rejection letters to prove that you have been making every effort to sell your work.
(b)
You have the full course on 15 day inspection trial when you enrol. If you return it to our Manchester office within 15 days
of receipt any money you have paid will be returned in full. This period will only be extended by request in advance.
(c)
We will pay you £10 for every written assignment which is not properly corrected by your tutor. Failing agreement between
us we both agree to accept independent arbitration as binding. This is in addition to any refund you may claim in clause (a)
above.
THIS GUARANTEE IS YOUR SAFEGUARD OF A FAIR DEAL FROM THE WRITERS BUREAU
