absence you have requested.
General Immigration Advice
 You must return to the UK and resume your studies at the University of Hull within your granted period of
leave. It is important that during this time you have contact details of your supervisor and other members
of your department who you may need to contact during your absence.
 Authorised absence period cannot be added to the end date of your course. This means that although you
are going to be absent from the University for an agreed period of time, you must aim to complete your
course by your current course end date.
UK re-entry
If your current visa is still valid at the time of your intended return to UK, you should be able to use it to
return UK. However, upon re-entry to UK, you will be interviewed by the UKVI immigration officer and will
need to prove that you are returning to complete your studies. Therefore, it is advisable to carry with you
your student status letter, copy of the completed and signed leave of absence form and any other relevant
documents, including a copy of your Police Registration Certificate (if you are required to register with the
Police).
Any advice contained within this form is deemed to be general advice and is correct at the time of printing. If
