Wacky Wednesday - Frisbee Challenge & Crazy Hair Day
Students and staff are encouraged show their school spirit by coming to school with
unique and crazy hair designs. There are few expectations everyone must follow.
These expectations have been developed so that everyone can show their school spirit,
have fun, and not negatively impact the learning environment for the day.
● All parts of your hair design must be in your hair. No external props should be used.
● All hair products must be applied at home.
● Students are limited to hair designs. Face paint and other special make up is not

Talented and Gifted (TAG)
Parent Nomination Forms for TAG Testing​
Every year students are considered for
Talented and Gifted services in the Beaverton School District. These services are provided
by your child's classroom teacher(s). If you think your child may qualify, you may complete
the Parent Nomination Form 48 ​​
Completing this form gives our school TAG facilitator more information about your child.
Once the Parent Nomination Form is completed, please return it to our school’s TAG
facilitator, Colleen Medlock. Please send it in an envelope to Stoller or scan ℅ Colleen

Student Extended Day Activities also called clubs:
If you wish to volunteer to run an after school or before school extended day activity/club,
please contact Mr. Jerde. Example clubs run by student and/or parent volunteers have
included: coding/guitar/art/knitting/poetry/book groups/science field study club/green
cub/do it yourself club.

After School Activities Bus
Beginning Tuesday, 10/13 an after school Activity Bus will be available for students who stay
after 3:40pm. to participate in school activities. Only students who live in the ​
Bus Riding
are eligible for this service. Students wanting to access this service must turn in an
Activity Bus Parent Permission Form​
. Forms are available in the flyer rack near the main
entrance as well as in the counseling office. The BSD transportation department needs 5
school days to process these requests. Eligible students who turn in a completed form may
begin riding the Activity Bus one week after submitting their completed form.
Stoller Academic Enhancement Program
Through generous gifts and grants from the Stoller PTO and the Beaverton Education
Foundation we are able to once again provide academic assistance to student through the
Stoller Academic Enhancement Program​
. Before and after school academic help sessions in
Math, Science, and Humanities will begin on Tuesday, 10/13. Each week, a 1 hour academic
help session in these content areas, for each grade level, will be offered. A
calendar/schedule for these help sessions will be posted soon. Morning sessions take place
8 - 9am and may be scheduled on any day of the week. Afternoon sessions take place on
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons only. An after school Activity Bus will be available for
those students who live in the bus riding area. Students wanting to access this service must
complete an ​
Activity Bus Parent Permission Form​

Science Bowl Tryouts
This will be after school 4-4:45pm, Monday, 9/28, in the cafeteria. This is a written test.
This is open to all Stoller student’s. There is no sign up sheet prior to the test. Just arrive
on time in the cafeteria. Bring a pencil or pen. The top five students will represent Stoller’s

Oregon Battle of the Books
What is Battle of the Books OBOB?
Contact Mrs. Gillespie, or our library staff, with questions about Stoller’s Battle of the
Mathcounts At Stoller Middle School
For students that qualified for the club, classes will be held on Thursday mornings from
8-8:50am starting on October 1. Interested students should be dedicated to practicing,
working hard and can commit to attending class. Please email Mr. Norse with any questions.
Parents Volunteers Needed
Two parent volunteers are needed to help on Fridays during the lunch hours to distribute
POWER Spirit Awards. It’s an easy and gratifying job - You will be “paid” in smiles and lots

PTO Corner
The PTO is no longer running a fundraiser that requires students to sell items!
No more magazine or cookie dough sales. Instead we are asking families to donate direct funds an amount is acceptable with a minimum of 25 dollars. See the attached flyer.
Show your School Spirit!! Orders for STOLLER WEAR are due with payment are by Friday, 10/9

We are repeating our design from last year in navy, white and charcoal gray shirts and adding our
neighborhood colors shirts! They have STOLLER printed on the front and "GO (shirt color)!"
on the back. Samples will be on display at the Back to School Nights.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in the upper forum on tables.
Lunch boxes will be disposed after a week if food items have been left in the box.
All items are donated on a monthly basis to our locale organizations.
Transportation Information
The Beaverton School District Transportation Department provides parents access to student
transportation information through the E-Link application at
This application requires parents to log in using their student’s id number and date of birth.
E-Link allows parents to obtain the following information specific to their student:
The student’s eligibility for bus service.
Their assigned bus stop.
Their assigned bus route bus
The scheduled bus stop time.
Parents may request a change to their student’s transportation eligibility, assigned stop, or assigned
bus by completing a Transportation Service Request at ​
